Welcome to Walker's Ridge Community Site
Welcome to Walker's Ridge subdivision website. We are located in Marietta, Georgia and very close to the Kennesaw National Battlefield Park and approx. 15 minutes from historical downtown Marietta Square. Our GPS address is: 2111 Breconridge Drive, Marietta, GA 30064
Our subdivision has protected covenants that is adhered by all residents. We have residents that volunteer and are elected board members to be on our Homeowners Association. Our community has 314 beautiful homes that sit mostly on half acre lots with numerous mature oak and pine trees with manicured landscaping. It is a wonderful location to raise a family or enjoy the "empty nester" years. Our subdivision is zoned to attend 3 outstanding schools: Cheatham Hill Elementary School, Lovinggood Middle School, and Hillgrove High School. Our amenities include a beautiful clubhouse, pavilion with grills, large swimming pool, 4 tennis courts, large playground, and a fitness trail. We have a very active lifestyle with regular social activities and gatherings throughout the year. We have several ALTA tennis teams and our children have an annual Swim Team. We are proud that our subdivision is formally on Cobb County’s Crime Awareness Program. Our residents are aware and we look out for each other.

Registration Instructions
To register, click on the “Click here to register now” link. Type in all required information including:
- Real Name (must be your full name, example: John Smith)
- Username (this is a nickname that will identify you on the website)
- Email (your real email address is required to complete the registration process)
- Address: a valid Community address as street address, city, state, zip
- Phone (your home phone number)
Click on the “New User” button. Please read the registration rules and privacy statement. At the very bottom, you can either click on “Finish” to proceed with registration, or “go back” to change the information you entered.
You will receive an email containing the username you entered and a password. Click on the link in the email to complete registration. Enter your username and assigned password to login to the website. Please note that the password is case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as it appears in the email.
Once you are logged in, we recommend changing your password. Click on "your account". Click on "change your info". Scroll down to the very bottom of the screen, and you will see a section for changing your password. Type your new password in BOTH boxes. By entering your password twice, you can be sure that you didn't have a typo. Make sure you click on the "save changes" button at the bottom of the screen.

Swim Team News
The season is underway for the Walker's Ridge Tidal Waves. We are looking forward to another great season. Please come to our home meets and cheer our team on!
The swim team schedule for the season follows:
Practice Schedule:
Monday, May 14 through Wednesday, May 23 4-6:30 pm
Thursday, May 24 No practice...last day of school
Friday, May 25 Morning practice begins 8 - 11 am
Monday, May 28 No practice...Memorial Day
Tuesday, May 29 through
Wednesday,June 27 Monday - Friday - 8 -11 am
Monday, Tues, Thursday 8-9:30 am
July 2, 3, and 5
Please note, the pool is closed to non-team members during practice hours.
Meet/End of Season Party Dates
All meets are on Wednesday nights this summer. We have three home meets this season on the following dates:
June 6
June 20
June 27
The pool closes at 4 pm on meet days for swimming. But you are invited to come cheer the team on and purchase dinner at our concession stand. We offer great food at great prices.
The swim team end of season party will be held Thursday, June 28...tentatively at 6 pm. The pool will be closed for this event.
Special invitation for Walker's Ridge residents: If you have a child 5 - 18 years old - who can swim- and you are interested in joining our team, please contact Judi Wolovick at jwolo4@yahoo.com.
Swim team appreciates the support our neighborhood gives us. This is a great summer activity for our kids! Special thanks to Steve and Megan Huss for getting the pool ready to open

It is graduation time again and we need your help. We want to put the names of all of our Walker's Ridge graduates on our web site with our congratulations to all of them. If you have a son or daughter who is graduating, please send us their name and the name of the school they are graduating from. We are so proud of all of them. Spring is here and many of you are looking at ways to improve the appearance of your homes and yards. Many of you have already started to make improvements and your homes are looking great! This is one of the features of our neighborhood that has kept Walker's Ridge such a beautiful place to live. As you prepare to make improvements, please remember that we have covenants that we have all agreed to and we do need to follow these. If you are planning to paint the exterior of your home, make other exterior changes, cut trees, etc. you do need to fill out the form that you can find on our web site and send this to our ACC or to a Board member for approval. You can find the covenants on our web site or if you want a copy, please contact Diane Huie. If you are not changing your exterior colors, you do not need approval. If you are having trees cut, you must get approval unless they are less than 10 inches in diameter or within 6 feet of your home.
It has been brought to our attention that we have some yards and homes that need repairs. Please look at your property closely and make any needed repairs as soon as possible. Our mailbox posts are getting old and many need to be replaced. If you want to replace yours, please keep the new one as close to the original as possible.
As stated in our covenants, no fans or air conditioners are to be placed in the windows of your home. Garbage cans must be placed at the rear of your home so that they are not visible from the street.
We get so many compliments on the beauty of our neighborhood with our large trees and lovely homes. We also have wonderful neighbors and everyone is so friendly. Thank you for all you do to make Walker's Ridge the very best place to live. If you have any questions about our covenants, please contact a Board member.

Walkers Ridge resident Gaye Johnson is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Marietta. Each year, the Kiwanis Club of Marietta sponsors the Marietta Soap Box Derby, which is an officially sanctioned race of the All-American Soap Box Derby International. This year’s Marietta Soap Box Derby will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Marietta High School and is open to kids ages 7 – 17. Whether you’re a racer, a spectator, or a volunteer, it is a fun day for the entire family. Click here for more information!
